Truly non magnetic and range ready !

Posted by SGM Roger "Pepper" Pearson USA-RET on 15th Jun 2021

The range I shoot at has a strict non magnet policy, I have purchased ammo from other sites stating that there ammo is non magnetic and range safe just to receive it and find out it is magnetic and not excepted at most reputable ranges. This is a true bummer when your planning on doing some plinking for the weekend. With the Wolf Polyformance, Yellow Box you are guaranteed to be able to shoot your AK or any other weapon that shoots 7.62x39 rounds on a non magnetic range which most are or at least the ones worth shooting at. Plink away my friends !

Only ran through 200 rounds but the ammo performed well and grouped very well. Will definitely purchase again.

    Inexpensive indoors

Posted by brian winters on 29th Mar 2021

The wolf steel cased ammunition with copper jacketed bullet allows me to shoot art an indoor range. In northern New Jersey where I live the closest outdoor range is over 70 miles from me. The indoor ranges of which there are several do not allow any rounds that have a steel cored or bimetal jacket so it is expensive and hard to find brass cased 7.62x39 ammo. Wolf rounds like this are more than steel cred but far less than brass cased. I average about 62 cents a round including freight and tax. inexpensive theses days. Reliable and accurate enough.

Went through 5 boxes averaged 8 to 10 misfires in every box. Good clean primer strike every time. ..NO BANG

    copper jacketed Russian ammo

Posted by old Grunt on 15th Mar 2021

The wolf copper jacketed 7.62x39 is good ammo that doesn’t produce excess friction and heat in a bore under sustained firing. Accuracy is 2.5 -3. MOA out of good (ZAstava and VEPR) AK platforms. My SKS ( Yugo 59/66) LIVES this stiff, and if I vice it will shoot 2 minutes solid. Service with Ventura is always a no BS prompt deal, with good pricing- bottom line, I can afford to shoot!

4 stars since I haven’t had a chance to shoot it, but I’m very happy with the purchase. Will likely be returning for more.

Great ammo, at a great price

Posted by Unknown on 20th Nov 2017

My local range allows only non-magnetic ammo, and it's hard to find any at a reasonable price for my AK47. I tried these rounds and they are great. After going thru hundreds of these rounds, I've had excellent reliability and cycling thru my rifle. Accuracy out to 200 yards+ is as good or better than my tired old eyes would allow. Strongly recommend them for range use, or anything else really.

Great for range and generally good ammo

Posted by Joe on 25th Oct 2017

Finding a non-bimetallic bullet in 7,62x39 at a reasonable price is difficult when it jumps by nearly $10 a box for copper clad ( non magnetic) bullets. And to have the fast shipping and great service Ventura provides on top of it makes this even better deal. When they saw this at the range their first comment was where did I find it. He had been searching for this amo for some time.

    copper jacket for most ranges.

Posted by Larry Meacham on 24th Oct 2017

Most all indoor ranges and now quite a few outdoor ranges have baned steel jacketed ammo. There is a problem in finding inexpensive copper jacket range ammo for the 7.62x39. This ammunition worked just fine. No jams or misfires and it was full power.
