Flawless cycling and accurate in new 8.25" AR Pistol

Great ammo for breaking in new AR build. Cycled 100%. Surprised at the accuracy - although only 25 yd range so far. Great practice ammo!

    Excellent practice ammo

I tested this ammo in an AAC 9" inch pistol upper, with NO issues whatsoever. This 147 fmj shot stout compared to the V.M. 220gr Sierra MK's. "Stout" = not brutal or punishing, just strong recoil in a short barrel upper. To put it into perspective, I would have no problem shooting 250 rounds of this ammo in one day out of my 9" pistol. And a rifle length barrel will be a piece'a cake, for a 500 round day. This ammo was very accurate and clean burning, in the 9" upper @ 25 yrds when I did my part as an offhand shooter. I do not plan on buying any other ammunition to practice with, in my 300B.O. uppers. I am completely satisfied with this 147 fmj. I highly advise you to give it a try. I seriously doubt you will be disappointed.

I bought a 250 rd bag of the 147 gr FMJ ammo to break in my AAC 12.5" upper. I figured it would be good to work the action, bore and get some trajectory estimates. It did all of that with ease. The shock came when, with open sights, I shot multiple groups just over an inch at 50 yds. Mirage was nasty even at that short range so the consistency was surprising. With glass on this upper, I have no doubt MOA at 100 yds is realistic. And remember, this is fmj stuff; not match. Ventura did a great job with this stuff. Oh, the 4 star rating?, they didn't tell me the primers were crimped!
