    I like the ammo

Posted by Robert Martin on 15th Jul 2019

So far, the ammo is working very well. It is accurate, loads easily and extracts with ease. Seems to be a little "hotter" than I expected.. which I like and the price was very reasonable for this almost obsolete ammo. I think 25-20 WCF is starting to become more attractive to the collectors and shooting enthusiasts. I have a question... Are the casings considered to be reloadable? Also I would like to see the same ammo loaded with a 60 or 65 grain jacketed bullet.

    25-20 WCF - 75 Gr

Posted by Bryan G on 2nd Sep 2018

Bought this for a couple of Winchester 1892’s I just picked up. (One is an 1895 mfg date and the other a 1918 mfg date Deluxe. This ammo grouped very well out of both rifles - both are original 24” barrels, round and octagon. Shot out to 274 yards on steel silhouettes at my range with a very pleasant ring repeatedly. Pretty clean bore after firing about 30 rounds thru each also. Ventura was very fast in shipping the ammo also..had a tracking number about an hour after placing the order! Looking to buy some more right now, and I am going to buy some 40-65 from Ventura as well for my old Marlin 1895 (1896 mfg) and my Winchester 1886 (1892 mfg).

    .25-20 Ammo

Works well in my old Marlin 1894. Seems faster than factory 86 gr. Probably a much better varmint load.

    good ammo

Posted by John Jackson on 2nd Jul 2018

Fired 5 rounds of the 75 gr. 25-20. Seem hotter than the Rem factory 86 gr. with sharper crack and seemingly much flatter trajectory. Sights will require adjustment from heavier bullet, but should be better varmint load. I have not shot for grouping, but will give 5 stars if load is accurate. Shot in 1894 Marlin w/ relined barrel- typically an accurate rifle. JOHN JACKSON, TX
