Great value Great Service from Ventura

These are a bit hotter than the Ultramax, kicks just a bit more. Never had a problem in my Trapdoor Great values from Ventura, fast delivery, fair shipping cost

      Great all around 45-70 ammo

Posted by Unknown on 21st Oct 2014

These cycle well in my 1895 SBL no fail to feeds or eject. Easy shooting not over powered should work in anything that eats 45-70. And they use Star-Line Brass good for reloading. Will be buying more when available.

      Bad Cycle in 1886 Chiappa

Posted by Pastor Michael Hannah on 12th Jul 2014

I gave this Ammo a 3 due to the problem I have with the rounds not cycling correctly. Loading 2 or more rounds in the tube, the rifle jams on the "down swing" of the lever. The first round enters the well and the second passes the cartridge stop at the same time and will not load the first. Firing the rounds by breach, single fire, works fine and fires accurately. As one of the other reviews stated, it is a little dirty, but it can be used for target shooting. Other factory loads, Hornady, Winchester, Remington; cycle fine without problem.

Great Ammunition at a fantastic price. A little dirty, but that is why we clean are firearms. love ventura munitions. Keep up the good work.

      Nice rounds

Posted by Unknown on 11th Mar 2013

I gave it a 5 because it workes perfect. My marlin is not exactly sensitive but when a 405gr round loads cleanly and ejects every time, I say thats a 5! Keep up the good work.

      Won't feed a Henry

Posted by Scott on 3rd Dec 2012

This round would not cycle through the Henry 45-70, it would hang on the projectile by about 1/16th of an inch. I could however single feed it in the breach and fire them without incident. At 100 yards peep sight I placed 3 rounds within 3" standing so the trajectory was stable and satisfactory.

      Dirty, inaccurate in Rio Grande

Posted by Jonathan R on 31st Oct 2012

I put 40 rounds of this stuff through my 45-70 Rossi Rio Grande, and it left a lot of unburned powder grains in my action. With I wouldn't reccomend this Ammo/Rifle combination, as accuracy was terrible. Try load-X or LeverEvolution 325...very good in the Rossi's.

30 Rounds, 27 Bullseyes at 25 yards, 3 rounds within one inch of the bullseye, standard 8" target, rifle held freestanding using a Marble peep sight. Turnbull .45-70.
